What this site is
LGBT Chat is a free, anonymous public text chat for LGBTQ+ people and allies, together with a small set of editorial pages: guides to chatting safely, explanations of how the rooms work, and reviews of and links to other adult chat and cam platforms.
The chat itself is written by its visitors. We do not produce the messages, we do not verify who anyone is, and we do not review messages before they appear. The rules that apply to it are in section 3 of our Terms and Conditions.

The chat is free and always has been. The site is funded by affiliate commissions: when we link to a third-party chat, dating or cam platform and you sign up or subscribe there, we may receive a commission from that platform. Some pages also carry advertising.
This never costs you anything extra. You pay the same price you would pay by going to that site directly. We never charge you for using this website.
Does money influence what we recommend?
We disclose it so that you can judge for yourself, which is the point of this page. Our honest position:
- Most platforms we link to run affiliate programmes, so a commercial relationship is the normal case rather than a special endorsement.
- Commission rates differ between platforms, and we do not pretend that has no influence on which services get written about at all.
- What we will not do is claim that a service is safe, free, or reputable when it is not. If a platform has hidden charges, fake profiles, or a poor privacy record, we say so or we do not list it.
- We do not accept payment to remove criticism, and we do not publish paid reviews presented as independent ones.
How we assess the platforms we link to
When we review a third-party service we look at: whether pricing is stated clearly and up front; whether the privacy policy is real and the connection is encrypted; whether profiles and activity appear genuine rather than automated; whether the platform has working moderation and a reachable support channel; and whether it is welcoming and safe for LGBTQ+ users specifically, which not all mainstream platforms are.
Third-party sites are not our responsibility
We do not control the platforms we link to. Their content, pricing, age verification, privacy practices and conduct are theirs alone. Read their own terms and privacy policies before signing up or paying, and treat every link as one you access at your own risk.
Accuracy
Prices, features and ownership of third-party platforms change without notice, and a review that was accurate when published may not be accurate today. If you spot something out of date or wrong, tell us at [email protected] and we will correct it.

Nothing on this website is legal, medical, or psychological advice. If you are dealing with harassment, blackmail, or a threat to your safety, contact your local police or an LGBTQ+ support organisation in your country.
